WTF
Posted in Life, School on 10/27/2005 02:27 am by KatieI don’t think I will ever understand crowd mentality. I mean, what possesses thousands of people to parade madly through the city, destroying everything in sight, pulling down street signs, throwing sawhorses, humping and mooning (butt-cheeks to the window and all) my car, throwing beer bottles, dancing naked in their dorm room windows, etc., etc.? Certainly, the game that the team from a city two hours away, played far far away in Texas, was just an excuse for people to be assholes in large numbers. Good job, guys. Way to show what our generation is capable of.
Oh, and I got to see real live cops in real live riot gear. That was exciting.
God, people are such fuckers.

Hey, it’s true, people are fuckers. Occasionally some of them are alright and decent people, but as a whole humanity kind of blows, especially when given an excuse (any excuse is good enough, really) to go Girls Gone Wild on an unsuspecting town. Also, in a big college town, it really doesn’t take much to set people off…….off to extreme jerkwad “party” mode. Anyway, the moral here is that people are by and large terrible, and should be avoided at all costs.

I would have to disagree. Most people are tolerable as individuals but the mob mentality is wonderful. When else can you act like a complete jackass and blame something bigger than any of us. Arson, assault, battery, general deviance and none of it is your fault. The problem is you are looking on from the outside. Get in there and destroy something that someone else cares about and then just pretend you had no control. Life is grand.
