Well, no worries, though… there’s no way that will hold up on appeal. However, the state owes these parents money for the added legal fees they’ve been incurred for having to defend their First Amendment Rights.
In the end, the important part is that the kid gets a chance to see our judicial system overstepping its bounds. So few children get that kind of up-close-and-personal experience, but this guy will always remember the big dude in robes who kept him from that kickin’ winter solstace celebration. Personally, I think somebody watched Witchboard 2 (with a lot of Miller High Life – the official beer of judge-type folks) a few too many times before he made it to his chambers.
